My Review

This is our second Blog Tour for a book by this author, and my youngest son was thrilled to open this and find a new bus tale!

My youngest really enjoyed this book just like the other he especially liked the easy read style and the colourful pictures full of different things that are perfect for us to play our book game of eye spy on the page!

Daisy is a beautiful real life tale and we have enjoyed reading more about the real Daisy and Jay Jay on the website!

Today I hand the rest of this review over to the youngest of my Mini Twist boys!

I really like buses, I Love them, I like the big wheels and all the noise i would like to drive one! and when my mummy takes us to London I like the big red ones the best!

where i live you can get a special ticket that lets you ride the buses and trains all day round us and i like to go out on a ride the best ting to do is sit on the top deck!, When we went to the beach once they had a bus with no roof and it was AMAZING!!

I really liked Daisy, I am glad she was saved and made in to a fun bus I liked her red colour more but the nursery rhyme people look good. Jay Jay is still my favourite but I think it is good that he now has Daisy as a friend.

I wish they would visit us! I hope they write more about what they do and what adventures they have! they should go on holiday!!

Author Bio

I am a teacher and an author and have currently written six children’s picture books with a bus theme.

For over 20 years, alongside my teaching career, I worked with a Children’s Charity, The Bewbush Playbus Association, which led me to write a photographic history book about it.

I soon found that many children had never been on a bus before, let alone a ‘Playbus’ and they wanted to know more. I decided to write a fictional tale about the bus, his number plate JJK261 gave him his name.

‘Jay-Jay the Supersonic Bus,’ came out in print in 2014. It is the story behind the original bus and is his journey from a scrap-yard to being changed into a playbus for children to play in. From Fact to fiction the bus journey continued.

This story has now been followed by five more picture books.

I also undertake events and author bookings and love to share the story. There are also a few more stories in the writing process, with links to real events and buses.

The story has been read in many schools in the south-East of England, where I teach as a cover teacher, it is always well received and certainly different.
