My Review

I was already a huge fan of this authors work all beautifully translated by Quentin Bates.

I was well settled in to this series after reading the previous 2 books "Snare" and "Trap" in the trilogy after a recommendation via twitter, so I was very happy when the chance to be part of this blog tour came around.

Cage is book three in the Reykjavik Noir trilogy the final part, and boy what an ending this book gave!

This book is absolute action packed! Agla, having been imprisoned for financial crimes, is now due for release, but before that takes place she has a visitor, with a proposition for her.

They want Alga to work for them to uncover the secrets and the illegal dealings of a global scam. Alga maybe finally getting out of prison but will she stay out of trouble?

In turn we visit characters from the previous books some not that happy to help or be involved after what happened before, but this whole tale twists, turns and entwines story arcs from each character all the way back to the first book. Which just make this read not only jam packed and thrilling but also very satisfying in its conclusion.

The chapters are quick and the pace is intense the whole feeling of the read is an emotion filled journey, that makes you want to keep reading just one more chapter late in to the night!

I highly recommend this trilogy especially if like me, for readers who may be taking there first steps in to reading Nordic Noir genre. "Snare", "Trap" and "Cage" are excellent reads and its no surprise that film rights have been sold.
