My Review
Firstly A huge thank you to The author for reaching out and inviting me on the Blog Tour, you thought this book might me something I would like and you were not wrong!
this book is a fantastic Thriller with a beautiful insight in to the Ukraine and in particular Kiev as a city, its culture and beauty really sings though the pages of this story.
This tale is based around a group of street kids and the danger they become involved, gangs, drugs and mixing with the mafia, as well as the heartbreaking backstories each of these kids have, you cannot fail to feel for each of them and the trauma and horrors they have faced.
I loved the characters in this they all felt very real, especially Dima, Sasha and Alyona where their lives and behaviours felt very raw and very emotional, i also liked how this story flowed we follow all the events through a year and this length not only made the events make more sense but I felt like I was living the events with the characters over a significant time.
I love the authors writing style very quick and punchy, short chapters and short sentences really ramp up the suspense and tension felt throughout the read,
This book is more than a thriller, its an eye opening look at the gritty and traumatic side of human nature and the trust, forgiveness and compassion we should all have in life for each other.
