My Review

I absolutely loved this book! its ticks so many boxes of what I love in a good read!

This is the third book in the Gardener and Reilly series but this book works perfectly as a standalone.

On reflection with how much I really enjoyed the core characters and Gardener and his team I wished I had read the others first. I am sure that it would have been interesting to know more of the back stories.

It all starts with phone call to the small community police station in Bramfield a fictional town set near Leeds at 3am informing the police that they need to check out the hardware store in town because the front door is wide open.

Detectives Stewart Gardener and Sean Reilly are soon on the scene. Here They eventually discover the naked corpse of Alex Wilson,nailed to the wall of the caller.

soon Gardener and his team find themselves caught up and struggling with the case full of dead ends,no suspects and very little evidence. Then more bodies are found

The detectives race against time to stop the sadistic killer,dubbed The Tooth Fairy before any more horrific murders.

Short chapters make this book a fast paced read and add to the tense and rushed feel of the investigation, A warning for some that some of the scenes are very gruesome and graphic, but they are needed to be to show just how sadistic and ruthless The Tooth Fairy is and the murders while gruesome are so ingenious that you see past it.

this was a thrilling book that kept me gripped and reading late in to the night! and I am happy to say that I will now be hunting down the others in the series and i cannot wait to read more from this author.
