My Review
This was my first read by this author but after been blown away by this I cannot wait to start in on her debut "Found" in the coming weeks!
In this read we meet Izzy and Tristan Hart, Tristan is a successful TV celebrity and his wife along with there daughter Flora are living the perfect life in there beautiful home.
they are all happy and Tristan is well liked by everyone which is saying something for the crazy world of TV and showbiz, things could not be better.
but when Tristan is found violently murdered during a wedding reception in the close knit town where the family live, the whole town is in shock!
Just who committed the murder? and why? as the cast of characters in the small town and the Harts friends and family are questioned it is slowly unearthed that not everything that was thought about Tristan was the truth and when his own wife uncovers secrets which rock the very foundation of there relationship she is left questioning did she really know her husband?, did any of them?
I loved this read it was completely absorbing the characters are all very fleshed out and I found myself routing for some of them more than others as the story went on. This felt like a classic who-done-it with a real modern edge.
The writing style is very much like a TV show or movie you gain snippets of information for the characters interlaced with the police elements made this a thrilling story that reminded me very much of some of the better crime TV series of the current time.
This was a thrilling and absorbing read, showing the heartbreak and devastation of murder within a family and community but more so showing the secrets and lies which can bubble beneath even the most perfect of lives.
