My Review

I was drawn to this read as I think I was craving a kind of mystery, missing person read the type of read that not only hooks you but keeps you guessing and When the opportunity to read and review this book came about i jumped at the chance and was thrilled that this book was everything I had hoped for!

In it we meet Hanlon, an ex copper, quiet and stead fast she has taken her skills and now branched in to the world as a Private Investigator.

Her first case evolves Hamish Cameron the city's premier and affluent art dealer, his estranged 23 year old daughter Aurora is missing and he wants answers.

Hanlon sees this as an easy case find the girl who has most likely flounced off and is safe and sound, simple no problems, yet as Hanlon digs deeper she uncovers details about Aurora that are a cause for worry and add to this the background on her father its seems both father and daughter have secrets and are not the people they portray to the world.

In the end has Aurora vanished to escape her father?, or is this a case of something worse? with her own past showing involvement in some shady dug gangs and characters, has she gone to far? Is she even alive?

This case takes turns that Hanlon never expected and in the end can she even unpick the truth from the lies.

I found this both a thrilling and captivating read packed with action, this was just the mystery that I needed to get my head into, I loved how the action played out plenty of twists and turns and at a pace that kept me hooked.

This is what I hope will be the start of a fantastic series, I adored Hanlon as a character she is so unique and ballsy, and I feel like there is so much more to come from her and I cannot wait to see what comes next!
