My Name Is Anna - Lizzy Barber

Two women – desperate to unlock the truth. How far will they go to lay the past to rest?

Here comes the blurb as they say it better than i ever could!

ANNA has been taught that virtue is the path to God. But on her eighteenth birthday she defies her Mamma’s rules and visits Florida’s biggest theme park.

She has never been allowed to go – so why, when she arrives, does everything seem so familiar? And is there a connection to the mysterious letter she receives on the same day?

ROSIE has grown up in the shadow of the missing sister she barely remembers, her family fractured by years of searching without leads. Now, on the fifteenth anniversary of her sister’s disappearance, the media circus resumes in full flow, and Rosie vows to uncover the truth.

But will she find the answer before it tears her family apart?

So this book was my pick to take on my journey to Newcastle in early March, 3 hours each way and this book was finished in 2 quickly in sittings, i just could not put it down!!

the blurb gives away the core underpinning of the story but even knowing this and waiting for this reveal to be made to the main characters took nothing away from the read as i found the whole book so powerful and the intense emotions just overwhelming.

The writing was just amazing such developed characters and a real talent to make you feel so much for the character you think you should be hating! i was in tears as mamma told her story it was just heartbreaking even after all she had done, the book came to an end and i wanted more!

I love books that stay with you, that creep back in to your thoughts as you go about your day, i found this book did that for me, I really want more! i want to know how the characters are doing now! a sign of a fantastic book in my opinion.

5 stars all the way! at My Name is Anna to our TBR today, you will not regret it!
