I have had the pleasure of reading a few Karen Rose books, this is the 1st book in the Sacramento Series and some characters do overlap. Like many of her books we have lots of crime, romance and suspense!!
I am not really a romance reader but the crime and thriller element more than makes up for what are very organic and thought out relationships.
It is a huge read at over 600 pages and there are lots of characters but as the story gets going you keep up with who is who and what is happening easier.
The chapters switch from Daisy and Gideon’s story to the killer’s. I for one love having the killer point of view I think to know there thinking, what makes them tick and why.
Lots of ups and down and many twists and turns, safe to say I am already hooked and look forward to book 2 of this series
