Synopsis
Five years after final girl Ashley King survived the infamous Resort Massacre, she’s found hanging in her basement by her fiancé, Todd Matthews.
She left behind clues as to what really happened that night, clues that may reveal the identity of the killer the press has called The Wraith.
With the help of his friends, Todd goes back to the crumbling Hayden Resort,a death-tinged ruin in the Catskills Mountains.
What they find is a haunted history that’s been lying in wait for a fresh set of victims.

My Review
I fully credit This author and this publisher, Flame Tree Press for widening my reading tastes and for my first step in to the horror genre with Hunter shea's book "Ghost Mine" which I reviewed earlier in the year.
That read gave me a taste of horror books and a real craving for what I was missing in the genre, even though I am an absolute wuss, no I am still not brave enough to read IT or other horror classics! but I'm getting there!
Over the past year I pressed on with more horror/thriller books through this publisher and could not wait for this Blog Tour as this book has been my favourite so far!
SLASH is absolutely calling out for Hollywood and a big blockbuster horror movie transformation, The Wraith is the next big horror baddie in waiting this character gave me absolute classic Micheal Myers vibes and I thought it was brilliant!
5 years after being the sole survivor a murderous rampage at the Hayden Resort, Ashley The "Final Girl" as some crazy groupies have called her, is still trying to get over the murders of her friends and dealing with her survivor's guilt.
The murderer nicknamed"The Wraith" by the press, was never caught. and Ashley is finding it harder and harder to cope.
Her fiancee, Todd, does his best but even he cannot help her really cope with what happened and sadly after it all becomes too much she hangs herself.
While dealing with his heartbreak Todd discovers clues she left behind about the Wraith and the killings , and he along with his friends, return to the resort to try to solve the mystery of what happened and who is The Wraith.
mad killer? tick, group of inexperienced young adults? tick, abandoned creepy resort?tick, this has all the horror/slasher movie vibes and more.
I found that this book gripped me from the start and was sadly over too quickly as I just could not put it down! I am not going to say much more as I am a no spoilers blog! but if your looking for a slasher movie in a book this its it!
Forget your horror movie favourites The Wraith is here and through the blood gore and the constant shouts in my head while reading of "don't go in there!"and #turn the bloody light on!" He and the whole read is terrifying and absolutely fantastic!
Author Bio
Hunter Shea is the product of a misspent childhood watching scary movies, reading forbidden books and wishing Bigfoot would walk past his house.
He doesn’t just write about the paranormal – he actively seeks out the things that scare the hell out of people and experiences them for himself.
