My Review
This book is a quintessential murder tale set in an English village and I loved it!
If your looking for gore and those type of crime thrills, this is not it, here we have what is a favourite of mine, the classic murder mystery type story!
We have the death (or is it murder?) of one of the village residents, however there are no witnesses to the death and no suspects.
Just as the villagers are getting over the first incident, there is a sudden fire and a second death - is this a murder or an accident?
added to the mix is the villagers lives and the main characters everyday family life and trials and tribulations intermix with the ongoing mystery.
Add to this the personal trials and tribulations of everyday family life, like all good mystery's the secrets and twists are thick and fast and the ending was great especially as I thought I had it worked out!
A great read if you like the classic Miss Marple type, investigative murder mysteries.
