My Review
This is an AMAZING book, bloody hilarious with a strong message at its heart.
Within the wonderful rhyming almost poem like writing in a magical world we meet Elodie-Rose, a girl who like all other girls she knows wakes every morning and leaves the house carrying her basket full of fucks.
To those that ask through hate or unkindness, opinions or low self esteem and worry a fuck is given. The girls leave with the basket full and return each evening with no fucks left.
On a night there dreams of fun and happiness and crazy worlds replenish there fucks and the day starts again.
but little Elodie-Rose wants a change so one day she decided to give no fucks at all. but what will happen?
This is just the kind of book my teenage soul would have loved and needed a really girl power moment!
The simple, laugh out loud funny Story of Elodie-Rose and her basket of Fucks is one that anyone can relate to, that only yourself holds the key to your happiness, people can only upset you if you choose to let them! we see Elodie-Rose grow not only in confidence but in her understanding of the world.
