But no one was married that day.

Now Lucas has invited us back to celebrate the anniversary. But the anniversary of what?

The wedding that never happened, or the tragedy that occurred just hours before the ceremony was due to begin?

He's told us that tonight he has planned a game. We have our costumes, we have our parts, and everyone must play.

The game, he tells us, is about to begin.

What does Lucas want from us? What are we not being told? And what's going to happen when this terrible game is over?

My Review

When I recived my invitation to The Murder Game, I was nothing short of thrilled because In my opinion with any book By Rachel Abbott you know your in for a treat!

This is the second book in the Stephanie King series but can absolutley be read as a solid standalone. So much so in this instance Kings involvement is 3rd or 4th down the line of events in the storyline.

We join this tale one year on from tragic events that happened during the weekend wedding of Lucas and Nina.

Now Lucas has invited his close friends back to where the wedding was set to take place, this haunting mansion with it beautiful gardens and small cove for a celebration, The childhood friends struggle with the idea, after all what would they be celebrating after the hearbreaking events of the pervious year? but in the end agree.

As they all gather the stage is set for Lucas has a game they must all play "The Murder Game" because he believes one of them is responsible for the tragady that happend the year before and haunts them all and this weekend the truth will come out.

This read is fabulous haunting mystery, a real masterclass of a "whodunit".

This read is packed with secrets, lies, jealousy and heartaching grief. We are taken on a journey with this cast of characters not knowing who are what to trust, I have found it so hard to maintain my ideal of been a spolier free blog as I really do not want to give away any element in the story! this just shows how wonderfully crafted this tale is.

From beginning to end you are enveloped in this suspenseful and atmospheric story, and as the lies and secrets unfurl and the shocking twists are delivered you are left questioning everything you thought you knew.
