My Review
This is a twisty, obsessively dark thriller, and I loved every bit of it! In this read we join Sadie a doctor, her husband Will, and their two boys, Otto and Tate, who are all moving together to a small coastal town to make a fresh start.
A fresh start from the hustle and bustle of Chicago and for the couple and family as a whole to re-build after Wills affair.
It seems like fate in a sad way that Will has inherited a house from his sister Alice she heart-breakingly committed suicide unable to like with the pain of her Fibromyalgia any longer, Will in turn also becomes the guardian of his teen niece Imogen
While the idea of a fresh start applied Sadie had no idea a moody teen and an odd and eerie place and house was not what she expected and arguments within the family began.
When suddenly there new neighbour is found murdered, Sadie becomes the number one suspect, having been seen arguing with the neighbour Morgan before.
As there lives seem to be spiralling out of control Sadie seeks answers, just who is watching them? Why does it seem the only one who can help won't? and can she ever really trust her husband again?
This is a twisty tense read told from a number of perspectives, as a spoiler free blog it's hard to say more to not give elements of the story away or even more about the characters, but safe to say that just as i thought I had worked out one part a twist in the tale would turn me for a loop and this story left me reading late into the night to find out the truth!
