My Review

I have been a Lesley Kara fan since her debut with "The Rumour" I have few authors that are my must reads but Kara remains firmly on the list!

In this read we meet Marlow a Property Guardian. Amazingly she lives in spaces that will be developed in the future for cheap rent and to keep the properties safe she has the best of all worlds both financially and as well as living in some amazing places!

Her next home is an abandoned Private school, she quickly realises that it is her own childhood school a place she vowed never to return too.

As her past haunts her the present collides with it in a mixture of lies and strange events. As Marlow settles in the the property the strange mix of fellow guardians living in the school brings a blend of friendship and tension as she discovers the guardian she replaced Hayley had left suddenly with not even a word? Nothing seems to make seance? Determined to get answers Marlow is committed to finding out the truth but at what cost to her?

This read was absolutely thrilling I loved the concept so much I have read a few articles in the past year about this housing concept which I found fascinating, but I never gave much thought to how it would work in real life the almost commune feel of the buildings everyone together yet all out for themselves added some amazing tension to this tale.

The fellow guardians made this a heavy character read but left a delicious thill of who to trust! full of twists and turns this was such an addictive read that I could not put down!!
