My Review

We were lucky enough, My Mini Twist boys and I to be invited to take part in the Blog Tour for the release of the second book in this wonderful series.

More excitingly we were able to enjoy both books of the Relic Hunter series one after the other after they were loving sent and signed by the author for the boys and for this we were very grateful :)

While this post focus's on the 2nd book in the Relic Hunter series Wild Sky, we feel these books should be read in order and the boys especially wanted their views on the first book post too!

Such a small parcel shouldn't cause experienced smugglers much trouble. But, as Finn and Aria discover, this is the most dangerous delivery of their lives. Battered by storms and chased across the globe by an evil warlord, they enlist the help of a strange witch-doctor. Together, they struggle to solve the mystery while the fate of an ancient civilisation depends on them, and time is running out...

This book follows Finn and Aria on their adventures as they try to solve the mystery surrounding a parcel their father had to deliver, through this magical and beautifully written tale we join the children as they undertake there quest and in the discoveries they make.

You just feel wrapped in this magical world throughout this story, through the amazing descriptive writing and the characters who felt so real and this all comes together in an enthralling book that was a pleasure to read to my children.

My boys loved the adventure and they liked the fast pace of the story the short chapter help with this and really made us feel the suspense and urgency in the adventure.

My boys also like the little drawings throughout this added a lovely detail to what was a fantastic read.

We had only just closed the cover of Eternal seas before My boys were begging for us to at least read one chapter of Wild Sky!

With the first Relic in hand we knew Finn and Aria had more amazing adventures to come and I was thrilled that when I started reading This book was just as good as the first if not better!

More magical, more discoveries and More danger, the kids are developing there magical skills while searching for the second relic all while the author takes us on this continuing beautiful journey over scary seas and through awe-inspiring mountains.

My boys only disappointment was the ending, but only because I did not have the next book!:)

As for myself I utterly enjoyed reading and sharing these 2 tales with my boys, as a passionate reader, I search high and low for books that offer the magical something that makes them amazing to read and share aloud, like JK Rowing with Harry Potter, Lemony Snicket with A Series Of Unfortunate Events and Roald Dahl and his many stories, Lexi Rees has manged to create a magical world full of fantasy and adventure that enthrals children and adults alike.

This book is perfect to read alone or share and I feel would be perfectly adapted to the small or big screen.

We as a family cannot wait for the next book, In fact my youngest put "Relic Book 3" on his Christmas list! and I look forward to sharing more of this wonderful adventure with my boys.
